The Benefits of Combining Breast Uplift and Bust Augmentation

The desire to have firmer and bigger breasts can now be instantly achieved through combining breast uplift (also known as mastopexy) with bust augmentation in just one surgery. A lot of women are having issues with small size breasts and nipples that are set so low that it makes their bust droop. Deciding to have a mastopexy augmentation will surely help resolve this kind of breast problem as it will improve the bust’s volume and then tighten its skin, elevating the nipples. This dual surgery is popular nowadays, especially in UK; hence it’s not surprising that many women favor undergoing breast lift and breast enlargement surgery all at once.

During the operation, you will undergo both methods of a mastopexy and bust augmentation. One of the benefits of getting these two surgeries together is that you will not be having long scars on you bust since the skin on your breasts will be tighten as you demand for more volume. This is contrasts to getting a breast uplift alone which usually result to prominent scars.

Although you will benefit from having less obvious scars following your dual surgery, a mastopexy augmentation is not easy to administer than he regular breast uplift since you will require changes in the volume of your bust and at the same time improvement in the tissue constrictions of your breasts.

There are two techniques to choose from if you want to have both surgeries done at once. You can decide to have them administered altogether at the same time which will save you a lot of time but your surgeon may encounter difficulties in perfecting both procedures. Another option is to have the mastopexy first and then the breast enlargement afterwards so your doctor can thoroughly take down the size of you bust; however this method will require extra time to finish. Whichever technique you decide to have, it’s important to discuss your choice with your plastic surgeon so that your breast uplift with bust augmentation surgery will surely give you the best possible result.

Breast Implant Removal – Why and When It’s Needed

One side-effect of getting breast enlargement surgery is that all implants, whether silicone or saline, will break in the long run. When this happens, any skilled plastic surgeon will recommend their patients to undergo a breast implant removal surgery to save their bodies against any health complications. This is why people who have gotten bust augmentation are advised to always check the condition of their breast and to take note that the older the implants get, the more susceptible they are to leaking.

A saline or silicone implant breaks in different manners. If you are not aware of the signs when an implant is ruptured and needs a breast implant removal procedure, then you must keep on reading to find out what are they.

Saline Implants Rupture Signs

Saline contents usually leak quickly; therefore you can easily recognize if they are breaking and won’t require an MRI or other forms of imaging technique to know it. There are also visible changes on the shape and size of your breasts once it happens. Even if the saline leaks out of its shell, it is typically not harmful as long as there’s no fungus or bacteria on the implant. Breast implant removal surgery is needed right away if there is a leakage of non-sterile saline that will most likely lead to serious infection.

Silicone Implants Rupture Signs

Unlike saline, it’s not always easy to tell a silicone rupture since their contents leak out gradually. Some common signs of silicon breakage are also changes on the size and shape of the busts coupled with uncomfortable feelings of breast numbness, tenderness, burning or tingling, pain and swelling. Although rare, ‘silent rupture’ is possible too wherein no symptoms are present and that only an MRI can determine the silicone leakage. Don’t wait for the silicone rupture to spread on some of your body’s major organs and on the lymph nodes under the arm, which cannot be removed, before you decide to have a breast implant removal operation.

Based on several researches, there’s no evidence yet of the health risks a saline breakage brings, yet it is still considered to be an alarming condition once it happen. Silicone rupture on the other hand can cause uncomfortable and devastating diseases, as well as a painful disorder called ‘fibromyalgia’. Hence, there’s no reason not to have breast implant removal surgery if you suspect that your implants, saline or silicone it maybe, is already leaking.

In this video, Mr Adrian Richards explains what are the reasons to consider Removal or Replacement of Breast Implants, who should consider the procedures and how would that affect the appearance of your breasts.

Body Parts Where Brest Enlargement Surgery Implants Can be Inserted

Bust augmentation involves the procedure of putting the implants inside the breast of the patient. Prior to the breast enlargement surgery itself, patients are given the right to choose which part of their body – on the crease beneath their bust, through the tummy button, around the areola or under their armpit – they would like their implants to be inserted. Most surgeons will normally give out their opinion on where will be ideal for you to have your incision and the method that will leave you with scars that are not that noticeable. This is why it’s important that you know and understand what process is involved when inserting the implants on any of those body areas.

On the Crease Beneath the Bust

The most popular among the four options, placing the breast enlargement surgery implants beneath the crease of the bust is often utilized by majority of doctors for it allows them to precisely put the implants on their exact location. Also, this technique will let your surgeon easily lift up or lower down the crease beneath your breast during the operation.

Through the Tummy Button

This next technique of insertion through the tummy button using a tiny opening on the skin can only be utilized for saline implants. The problem is that it’s usually hard for surgeons to precisely place the implant on its right position on the breast. Hence, it’s no wonder why nowadays, just a few (or none at all) doctors are relaying on this method.

Around the Areola

Since a five centimeter incision is needed when doing this technique, this is not the best option for patients with small sized areolas. The breast enlargement surgery implants will be put on the skin around the areola, connecting to the bust. This process seemed easy that’s why it’s also used by many plastic surgeons.

Under the Armpit

Many opt to have their implants placed under their armpit, a method also known as the auxiliary procedure, so they won’t have any hassles concealing their scars later on. Yet, due to the fact that the implants are inserted on the muscle under the armpit, patients will be more prone to infections. Surgeons will also find it hard to arrange the implants on their exact position, as well as in checking if their heights are even while putting them during the breast enlargement surgery administration.

Possible Breast Uplift Surgery Side Effects

Cosmetic surgeries are truly helpful in enhancing or correcting how someone looks physically. Yet aside from the wonderful results one can get from these operations, there are also possible side effects afterwards just like in getting a breast uplift surgery. These risks must be addressed properly by your plastic surgeon so you’ll be aware of the changes your body will feel following your mastopexy.

For instance, days after you had your breast uplift surgery, your breast will become tender and sore. Don’t worry though because the bruises and swelling will slowly subside as you heal. Moreover, you will be given antibiotics cream to soothe any pain you will experience after having the bust procedure.

Below is a list of rare but well-known health dangers that may affect a patient who have undergone a mastopexy:
  1. infection
  2. negative reactions to the anesthesia
  3. excessive bleeding
  4. longer time for the wounds to heal
  5. loss of sensation at the nipple and areola area
  6. unsatisfactory results
  7. the need to have a second, third, or even more corrective procedures
  8. development of deep vein thrombosis
  9. hematoma or excessive internal bruising which can be remedied by removing the stitches and wash out bruising beneath the skin
If you intend to have children and wants to breastfeed them following a breast uplift surgery, then this cosmetic procedure is not for you because it can affect your ability to nurse a baby due to the removal of most milk ducts leading to the nipples during the operation. Nipples sensation can also be permanently gone.

With regards to scarring, the hard to eliminate ones are the ‘T’ marks located below the breast while the stitches you’ll acquire after your mastopexy will easily disappear. However, those who won’t cease smoking following a breast uplift surgery will need more time to heal and will also develop prominent-looking marks on their busts.

Mr. Adrian Richards of Aurora Clinics talks about how a Breast Uplift procedure is carried out. A breast uplift is an operation to lift and re-shape sagging breasts, giving a firmer, more youthful-looking bust line.

Guides in Determining Your Exact Bust Size Measurement

If you have been encountering issues on finding the perfect bra or in deciding what breast implant volume to get during your breast enlargement surgery, chances are you haven’t yet determine your exact bust size measurement. Therefore, it’s a must for every woman to know the steps in getting their correct breast cup or size.

The only tool you need is a tape measure that you can use without any hassles. Use this tape measure to check the dimension of your bust chest circumference which is the area where the band of your bra is usually located. You would probably acquire a 30-35 inches measurement. It’s a rule that you need to add 5 inches if you get an odd number and 4 inches if it’s an even number.

Second step is to obtain the size of your breast’s upper portion. For those with small bust, it’s fine to wear a soft, comfortable bra when doing this bust size measurement process, while women with large breast can do it with no bra on. Do this in a slanting way and remember to always have the results in inches.

When getting the correct bust size measurement, you should not forget to compare the top part of your breast with your chest circumference. Once you end up with results that are identical, then it signifies that you are an A cup. Those who get a bust size diameter that is an inch smaller than the gap on its circumference are considered to be an AA cup. Following this, the cup size of the breast will increase based on every inch differential.

To avoid any troubles when buying a bra that will perfectly fit you or when choosing the ideal implant size in case you undergo a bust augmentation, it’s best that you do an internet research about the standard breast chart used in your country. This is because despite the fact that the United Kingdom and the United States make use of the same breast charts, every country has their own standard bust size measurement procedure and breast chart that they follow.

Mr Adrian Richards, leading plastic surgeon at Aurora clinics advises you on how you measure your cup size. If you are unhappy with the size or shape of your breasts you may have Breast Enlargement surgery if they are too small or Breast Reduction surgery if they are too large.
